ORDENS MAGI (“The Magic of Words” or, simply, “Magic Words”) is a yearly conference on language in Stockholm – the power and joy of language, good language and bad language, the use and misuse of language. It is intended to help professional users of written and spoken language, but also to enhance interest and pleasure in language.

Hitherto the themes for each year have been The Future of Swedish (2006), Language and Identity (2007), Written Language Today (2008), Persuasion Promotion and Selling with Words (2009).

2010 year’s conference developed that theme further into the Language of Winners, i e in politics, business and career planning. 2011 will continue on the same track.

Behind the conference is a group of writers, linguists, futurologists and investors. The lecturers and speakers are academic linguists and language experts from various fields in business, industry and civil service, but also writers, actors, media personalities, inventors, industrialists, advertising gurus and others. The partakers tend to be executives, businessmen, teachers, civil servants and journalists.
